Keep levelling and moving toward the centre where the high level conflict zones & industrial lanes are.
You will start encountering new mech's soon, leg and collect=) Or headshot but if in too good a condition You prob wont be able to claim in salvage without the use of mods.
Start saving cash too, decent mech's have a hefty price tag and may find in stores to purchase.
if you have the lancers DLC you will come out of that with some nice mech's to call your own. Once started you are committed to that one though until conclusion.
Some missions on map also have reward mechs. A marauder is near the bottom in davion space I think and is not to hard to obtain.
If nearby claim it, 100% free.
Best to work as you travel though rather than B line all over the map as it gets expensive if not earning as you go.
Even 1 good hunchback variant such as the 4H or 4P will give you a pretty big upgrade in firepower to scoot over to the Liao/Davion border area where you can get some more mediums and potentially a heavy.
Even if it's a bad one, the first heavy is pretty worth getting because then you can use it to walk through walls on Demolition missions, which is way faster and safer since enemies are going to be spawning surrounding the base in waves, so getting finished sooner is good on those missions if you don't have overwhelming firepower
for free
Look through Steiner and Kurita Industrial hubs if you want Heavies and Assaults
Unless its a mod Hellhound ain't in game.
It's a free Wolverine 7H, which is also called the Wolverine II (not IIC).
the wolverine IIC you can pick up is a wolverine built out with clantech internal ♥♥♥♥.
No, it isn't. Because it isn't a IIC. It's a Wolverine 7H/ Wolverine II (no C to be found). There's no C. There is...no C. Just...can't find one.
It also doesn't have "clan tech", it has LosTech.

"WVR-7H
Similar in many ways to the 7D, the 7H, referred to as the Wolverine II, was used by the Royal Brigades of the SLDF starting in 2770 and was also an upgrade of the 6R. It utilizes an Endo Steel structure, Ferro-Fibrous armor, and double heat sinks to increase combat capabilities. Extra armor protects the legs, while CASE protects all the ammo bins. Like the 7D, the autocannon is upgraded to an Ultra-class model and the medium laser is upgraded to a pulse version. In addition, the SRM-6 is slaved to an Artemis IV Fire Control System to improve the accuracy of the individual missiles. BV (2.0) = 1,301[28][29][30]"
The Hellhound is not an omnimech, either. None of the IIC titled mechs are omnis (that I'm aware of).
Its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wolverine from CLAN wolverine with a CLAN xl and other CLAN TECH. which makes it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ IIC. like every other IIC. it's a free special snowflake mech like phelan kell's wolfhound IIC except without clan guns.
NOR did i say it was an omnimech you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥. how about you shove your deliberately obtuse idiocy up your own ass and root around in their until you find your tiny tiny brain lodged firmly inside the massive gaseous anomaly you call a head.

Obviously the CASE serves no purpose in MW5 though.
