1# HOW TO CONNECT EPIC games AND STEAM account
2# HOW TO SHARE STEAM games on STEAM family/friends account

While I prefer STEAM for the reason of family sharing games on accounts and have our family games library fallow us everywhere between sons and me throughout the years... Thus making sure the more powerful computer in the house have all the new games on it. Some games have a tendency to go on other platform for a year contract before going on steam... like EPIC.

(See further below- on how to have your STEAM children games on your account and share your STEAM account games on your children account without having to repay the games again and again while they grow up in ages).

1# HOW TO CONNECT EPIC GAMES AND STEAM ACCOUNT
----------------------------------------------------------------

You have the option in your Steam Accounts and in your Epic Accounts to connect them so you get the proper friend list in your game... here is how to do it. The main reason to connect both account and allowing to share info is simply to have your friends nickname properly displayed in your game. Since most people use a nickname when playing on Steam and another nickname when playing on Epic. Thus having the proper friend list in your game.

When you buy a game on any launcher, you technically do not own the game (this is true for Epic Games and Steam). You own a license to the files and to run the game. Some games will check that this license exists (DRM among just needing to connect to a server). You cannot share or transfer this license, i.e you are the owner of the platform you and thereby you can only play on it.

Some games do not have DRM, thus there is no way to check that it bought through Steam or Epic Games. These game are/were play the old fashion way throw desktop icon .exe. Most games on Epic have DRM or an Internet requirement, so there’s no real way to bypass the method.

*Mainly put - in your Steam and Epic accounts options your are letting both platform to have a share of your information. Epic players will see your Steam profile and you will get your Steam friends list on your Epic account. Both account will have different password to connect to... your are not giving your account you are simply given some shared information from your accounts.

2# HOW TO SHARE STEAM GAMES WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS ACCOUNT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The pros, cons and everything you need to know.

Steam, Valve's digital gaming distribution service, has a massive library of old and new games to purchase and play on your PC. Though game subscription services are becoming more common, STEAM lets you buy individual games, so you don't have to commit to a monthly fee if you only want that one title.

With no STEAM monthly fee and frequent sales, Steam makes it easy for gamers to build up a sizeable gaming library.

You can share this/your library of Steam games with family members. While this feature is aimed at helping parents distribute and monitor what their kids play, it also lets you lend games you like to others. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to share your Steam library.

---------------------------

-Protect your Steam account (Parental Control)-
First, you want to safeguard your game library, so even if you share your account, everything will still be protected and within your control. For this to happen, you need to enable Steam Guard. Steam Guard -- which is free to turn on -- provides an additional level of security that protects your account from unauthorised access.

Here's how to enable Steam Guard on your account:

Step 1: Go to Steam's homepage and make sure you're logged in.
Step 2: In the *upper right corner, click your username.
Step 3: In the drop-down menu, click Account Details.
Step 4: Scroll down to Account Security and click Manage Steam Guard.

From there, you'll have three options: Have Steam Guard codes sent to your phone or your email, or turn Steam Guard off. You also have the option to deauthorize all other computers or devices (other than the one you're currently using) that might have saved your login information. Steam recommends sending Guard codes to your phone as a form of two-factor authentication.

-Share your library-
Log into your family member or friend's computer with your Steam account to get started. Make sure you're operating from the Steam app on desktop. In the top left corner, click Steam and select Preferences from the drop-down menu.

Select Family in the side menu, then click the box that says Authorise Library Sharing on this computer.

This gives you the option to authorise any accounts that have also logged into the same computer. If no one else has, you'll get a message saying "No other local accounts found." After this is complete, log out of your account and your friend or family member can log back into theirs. They should now have the ability to download and install select games from your library.

You can select up to five users who can access and use your library across 10 devices that you've authorised.

-Cons of sharing your library-
Although it has its benefits, Steam's sharing features aren't perfect.
1. Only five accounts can access your gaming library from up to 10 different computers.
2. You need an internet connection to access the shared libraries.
3. Libraries can only be shared in their entirety.
4. Some games don't qualify for sharing because they require a subscription.
5. Shared games can only be accessed by one person at a time, so you won't be able to play games together.
6. The account holder has priority access to their games. If you start playing a game while another person is already playing, they'll have the option to buy the game or end the session.
