Marauder II, anybody seen one?

I imported my campaign save and started a new career, Reputation 14, millions in C-Bills to spend flying all over the Inner Sphere. I've fought dozens of Vulcans, I've seen the Dervish, Champion, and Charger many times for sale. But I've never seen a Corsair, Hatamoto-Chi, or the Marauder II. They started production in 3012, so 3 years before the earliest career starts available in 3015.

so, has anyone had an success in finding a Marauder II? If so, where did you find it? Just curious if I should be flying around Lyran Commonwealth, or hanging around the Blackwell Industries HQ of New Valencia in Federated Sun territory, or wherever else.

I am interested to know this as well. I did finally find a Hatamoto-Chi deep in Kuritan territory though. It was just meh... I really want that freaking Marauder 2 though.

By the way you get the Corsair Hero Mech from a story mission - Its the one where you work with the Pirates and it's freakin amazin.

Yeah I got one. I fought one during a quest final mission and had enough salvage to get it.

I think Marauder II is tied to a high-value mission. While they did exist at this time, Wolf's Dragoons were the sole owners of the patent, and outside of a shipment that got picked up by pirates, the only way to get one was to get on their good side and be given permission to buy one from the manufacturer.

Yes, got mine from a rare mech spawn at an industrial zone after 3049 on the timeline, so it can take some time for it to show up after it's produced and available. It's just pure luck.

I got my hands on a Marauder II in House Marik around 3019, can't remember the planet though.

One tip that has to be said, cold storage your un-upgraded mechs to save on upkeep costs while hopping around, that helps actually buying it once you manage to luck out and find one.

Found one listed as a sale mech around the liao/davion border

There is a mission chain somewhere that gives you the 4A variant, shortly after I started finding a lot of 5As on shops

Fought quite a few in the hero quests. Even salvaged one. Was in Steiner space.

Okay, thanks for all the feedback. There is a lot of quests sitting in my Transmissions tab, so I think working through those is more promising than flying around blind. If I manage to get one as a quest reward, I'll be back to post which quest line it was. Likewise if someone else happens to actually know what it is and could point me to the specific one quicker, I would appreciate it.

You actually might come across a completely different one you never thought about and it blows you away ( as in excites you)

That happened to me with the hero dragon i got in a kurita questline.first time i used masc in the game and i loved it, put it on all sorts now

I saw some in Liao and Marik Territory. One was in the Agincourt mission arc.

Bought one as a Rare Mech in an industrial zone when I was rep 5 so before 3020.
