[SOLVED] Out of video memory trying to allocate a texture crash
Happens every other mission. I have an i7-7700, rtx 2070, 32gb ram, 2560x1080 21:9 monitor. The game stutters a few times and then crashes. Happens no matter the graphics settings. Any fixes?

EDIT: Changing DLSS to OFF or QUALITY resolved the issue.

At least some with this problem have "resolved" it by turning dlss off
If you have DLSS on, either turn it off or try changing it to "quality" mode via the in-game settings. Might have to play around with that one. My game crashed seemingly at random and my disk usage would suddenly skyrocket(probably a failure to read/load something in-game as it only crashed mid mission for me and nowhere else) Apparently the game has a massive memory leak regardless of the GPU/RAM you are using. And here I thought google Chrome was the worst offender in that regard. Also, make sure you have nothing else running that is memory intensive(multiple open browser tabs, other programs, etc).

Not so sure the regardless of GPU part is true, with Vega and 6900xt before steam and 6900xt after I can play hours on end with zero issues

If I had to go full troubleshooter, I'd attribute the issue more to specific lines of cards. Many complaints seem to stem from anything after the 1080 series. But like we were taught in the tech labs, each system is different and everyone will may experience the same issue differently. I'm running a 2080Ti and like I wrote earlier, I would end up crashing mid-mission because it seemed like the game was trying to load something(My HDD(but actually an SSD) light would spaz out like crazy) and the card went:"LOLNO".

Confirmed, DLSS to off or quality has fixed it. Silky smooth running at max, no crashes since.
