Plan ahead a or take the risk for greater gains etc.
Though some Multi-missions take short enough time that you might not be able to complete repairs....
Playing with my brother tho, we had some missions that had a 2 day timer on them (as in they took 2 days to do the mission) where we got banged up enough (just starting the 90 difficulty areas) that a few 4 drop missions cut us close
Pay was GOOD tho
Early On I ran a few of these with only 2 or 3 mech lances as just didn't have enough to go round.
Great way to make cash, I have enough mechs to plan, so will do that.
By the way, is there anything above a rare Atlas in vanilla no dlc game?
Yes I also have 2 King 🦀s but I find the Atlas a more diverse weapons platform to use.
2xLarge Laser (er or standard, depending)
4xMedium Laser
4xSRM6
Use the LL at long range, use the SRM to sandblast anything that gets in their range (most enemies will try) use the ML when the SRM run out
No ballistics (except on the hero, but he gives up almost all missile power for it) but far greater firepower than most mechs can even imagine
As for weapons, missile, ballistics or laser, if it has enough hard points it will get the job done.
I like mediums too but I keep losing arms now so they all in cold storage unless I want to go back to lower lvl missions for a play.
I think maybe 1 of the ANH does, but I don't think that one is in MW5
MOST Assaults don't get JJ, partially because of just how heavy their JJ are (Most assaults give up mobility for firepower/armor as a rule anyway)
I do have misery in my actives though, is one of my favs too and that paint job is badass!
I was once deployed to a zero G moon in the outer rim. I was running a WSP-2A-X Super Wasp and got ambush by a pirate a in AS7-D-DC Atlas, who had been hiding in a crater - powered down. Needless to say, the first thing I did was hit the jump jets. Next thing I noticed is that I was headed into deep space away from the moon. I remember the pirate on comms saying I was a, " Flying turd " or something to that effect. Last time I ever used jump jets...
Lol good story, what game was this in? I have been thinking low grav would suit some of the biomes and suggested such on VonBiomes @ nexus but no replay so not interested I guess.
I mostly don't jump to high, very strategic bursts etc. I guess it depends on what biome and contract type more than anything else. it s just a "big sigh" type moment when you are stuck in canyons looking at the map for a way around thinking damn I wish I had JJ's.
Made that story up just for your entertainment. Gave a few laughs when I wrote it
Eh, I'm a role player from way back. I like these sorts of moments and can see it happening etc. Gm's I know would hold me accountable for stupid decisions.
