MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries

Mod to add mechs and that's it.
I have been watching Baradul and TTB. I think the mod they have installed is Piratetech?

Someone has kitbashed a Wyvern, Stinger and Wasp.

I was wondering, is anyone aware of mods that simply add mechs rather than messing with all sorts of other stuff? Keen to have those (and other lore based chasis) without getting a new mechlab, weaps etc.

I have not seen a single mech model in any mod that has not been made by PGI. Varients of existing mechs but no "new" mechs etc.

I had a look see after I posted, No idea if its any good sorry and is the only mod with a new mech at all that I have seen but a wasp is not quite tempting enough for me. Wasp LAM maybe for something new but ...meh this would for sure clash with mods that I am already using.

The is also a THUG and CLINT mech over at Nexus I believe.

The Thug was deleted but the clint is still there.

There is a thug in "lore based mech" mod

This mod adds 66 new canon variations of current mechs, and adds the thug. The model isnt bad at all.

I used to love the Thugs. Great on the TT.

The Thug is already in the game, actually. Take the stupid helmet off the Hatamoto-chi. Voila. Thug.

ETA: and the sode on the arms.

Yeah alot of people like them it seems, i was always a bit indifferent to be honest.

and yeas, hatamoto chi, is a better charger, masquerading as a thug. Definitely.

I agree with OP though. In my experience every modder seems to want to tweak some other aspects of the game outside of the focus of their mods. Some don't even list the tweaks but you see them once installed and find changes to weapons or behaviors.
There were some folks working on a community asset bundle with a bunch of new mech models and some kitbashed ones. Last I heard they were trying to get artists permission to distribute it as a mod, but not sure where that's at right now.

I bought the MWO Hatamoto Chi mech pack BECAUSE of the samurai helmet!

Have not found the Thugs as a stand alone sorry op but its in this mod for those that are interested.

I think the mod editor reveals some of the upcoming mechs, though Thug is not a part of the pack. I haven't come across these in my playthroughs so i think they are still to come (and their project folders are empty for right now)...

Since it's a nice round number (8), I think these might be featured in the next DLC.
Those empty dirs were in the editor in January 2020.
Mods from Nexus work perfectly fine with Steam or Epic or whatever version.
Update / verify your game files.

My opinion as well.. its become my way or the highway with modding these days.. I just wanted more mechs myself.. But it seems to be a hard thing to achieve..

Silby's mech pack was what i ended up with.. 120+ mechs added sadly it requires new weapons mod to run with it but i can deal with that.

There are other mods like the Lore mechs which adds 60 or so mechs.

after buy, the DLC, i can't install more modd from Nexus...all conflict and crash...and before nothing.

And can't try from steam workshop, because my game not a steam version.

And all do crash my game, in career, i can load them, can begin a new game, but mission crash ( always redone a new career/campaign after load a modd )

YetAnother mods do conflict with Lore/Mission/Eco...can't launch mission.
Every first mission, balck screen crash, and window alert " Error Fatal / Game Crashed "

And if remove All modds and keep only YetAnother, dont load first mission:

Error mission load...campaign..../.../ Not loaded...ect...

If load only lore/Balance ect..game work..mission too, but cr&ash if i try back to mechsLab...change weapons or Paint...

So..

From my point of view...modd MW5 from Nexus dont work with last update MW5.

And honestly MW5 without mods, is poor, bad, and annoying...with modds too, but, less.

That is an overhaul its probably conflicting with the other mods you own..

First set that thing to steam at the top, then show it where your game is on your harddrive, that should help.

and sort out whats clashing, red is bad green is good yellow may run.
