No point in asking community as we know as much as you and pgi never drops in to announce anything so ... No definitive answer can be given.

Reliable 3rd party vendor will always have the game (if in stock) at some form of discount normally. I currently see it on internet land for steam key for as low as $ 17.00.

next Steamsale is Halloween sale iirc.

Fanatical has it on sale. It's actually cheaper to buy the game and the DLC separately on Fanatical right now than it is to buy the Dropship bundle on Steam (USD)

Only real downside to buying on Fanatical is no refunds. This is why I'm waiting for a Steam sale too

You can use the Steam sales as a form of indication for when possible sales go on for games.

I did say "no definitive" and pgi doesn't really cough up anything here. My statement is factual although I did speak on behalf of the community I guess so for this offence I will offer apologises. As for other sites sales, I have no idea & op can go looking for them or chase other suggestions but I assumed was asking for steam sale on this title and steam sales are not a certainty of THIS title being on sale. Was full price during summer sale etc.

Well some games do go on sale because they are at least falling into some kind of theme that relates to the sale in question, such as the up coming Halloween sale I have zero doubts that this game would be included for the sale because around that time of the year games that are themed around horror and what not are the most likely to be going on sale and for good reason, Mechwarrior at least in my opinion doesn't come off as the type of game to be themed even remotely around horror much less anything else that would make it be qualified for being included in the Halloween sale.
Another example are the Star Wars games and media on Steam going on sale each and every single May 4th since that's gonna be their anniversary.
