Everything is always a lot puzzling and also interesting, if I were graduated in psychology or if I simply were a doctor (but I'm an European historian so I don't fit).
Well, it's also a sociological question - there are tons of Russian indie games, and on the other side there have always been tons of American games (European kids, do you remember in the '90s when we had to adapt every single SNES cartridge since games like Chrono Trigger never made their way between the States and Japan? xD).. and there are also lots of games revolving around Trump and Putin.
I have lived half a year in an awesome town and its surroundings called Lviv which is located in the west of Ukraine - everyone there speaks Ukrainian at home, but they're perfectly fluent both in Russian and in Polish. Of course there's a lot of concern about Russia up there..
But I'm a Western European or a NATO European as you want to put it down, I was born near the borders with Austria and Switzerland in Northern Italy and sincerely we don't give many ♥♥♥♥♥ about Putin or Russia at all, and even about Trump.. we don't really care about what happens outside of our small world, that's a shame, but that's always been the European society.
So I really don't understand why a game revolving around Putin should be somehow more attractive than any other title.. especially since all the games entitled Putin something aren't actually talking about Russia or foreign policy, but they just use the Putin figure to redesign some crappy shovelware.
This game's a crappy shovelware.
The 5000 achievements it has - which of course are the sole purpose of this game, otherwise it would not even exist - are not gained second per second by idling (which I did by the way on one of my laptops but that's another argument), but they are instantly awarded when you CLOSE the window (although when you're playing, they will plague you by popping up on the lower right part of the screen - so if you really want to play this thing, close it and open it again so that you've already got the 5000 achievements).
The game's made in Unity, but if you play windowed some text parts will be cut off and that says already much about how many minutes the developers employed to create this thing.
The game will open with some kitten photo taken from Google Images and then a sudden blast and some text telling you that aliens have disguised robots as cats, and start World War III by conquering Russia and making use of their nuclear weapons. This is THE REAL PLOT OF THIS GAME I DID NOT ADD ANYTHING.
Putin will be able to end this menace by "collecting the 10 shapes of manliness" (which are the same MS Paint Russian stereotypical head-and-cap in 10 different colors).
The whole game is set in a park-like background, also drawn in MS Paint, and the aliens will release kittens - as Putin, you'll have to drag his figure - yes, this game does not need a single mouse click - over the kittens which will spawn on each end of the screen, before they reach the nuke in the center. By doing so, you'll kick the cats off and get points of manliness, a big bar on the upper part of the screen, and completing every stage (they look always the same) will net you a new level of manliness.
The cats will start requiring more than one "kick" to be killed and will spawn also from other sides of the screen, but the mechanism will stay the same - your character won't actually gain nothing through his "acquired manliness", meaning that you'll be forced to swipe like a cell phone your mouse until the 10th level, which will make you achieve nothing but the realization of the time you lost.
Overall, 5000 achievements in 3 minutes, a Steam crash if you don't open another game in background, and everything I wrote above for what should have concerned the game.

If I've achieved the 1 Achievement in this game and the Global Achievement Stats show that 99.9% of Players have that Achievement, how many people bothered to buy this?

It wasn't worth it, this is one of those games by the Pain Train devs who seem to be putting in less effort with each title they release; this is a mouse whipping simulator; I passed all 10 levels in 18 minutes and didn't fail any of them.
The Kittens get stronger, Putin does not, which seems wrong to me but what do I know, maybe he isn't deriving strength from his victories of over the alien cats because he isn't enjoying it, he is purely doing it to protect the glory of Mother Russia, who knows.

Anyway, this sucks & the Victory screen has text that overlays on top of other text because I suppose I deserve that for buying for this.

This game-shaped object exists for an instant +5000 achievements after launch.
Exiting the game will crash the steam client as your reward.

The only thing memorable about it is the minimal effort that went into it.

Years of strategic masturbation culminated upon playing this game. It was the most aggressive 22 minute session I have ever had. 11/10, would masturbate again.

Terrible game that uses 5k Achievements to sell. Unlocks instantly, so no need to play.
To play, just wave your mouse across the screen until you win.

I mean if this game had more gameplay than just shaking your mouse and looked better than it did.
Then maybe it would get a 5/10 from me cause it's a dark game and i like dark games, but everything is so poorly made so i can't really say it would be good for anyone unless you want to gift someone something terrible to which id probably say
"gifting nothing would have been better"

Note i don't like hurting animals in real life, but this is a video game... what are you a news reporter that complains about every little thing in video games?
But in serious talk this game is just boring as feck.

Bundle was on sale, which I'm probably going to regret buying. Had to start the game to get the only achievement.

In truth, I bought it because the concept mildly amused me and I didn't realise you instantly received the Achievements upon purchase. I at least feel they should be earned.

This is one of the best games I've played, this game is amazing if you have nothing to do. Would pay double.
