Mine constantly crashes as well. Sometimes it crashes if I've been on the main menu for a bit. If I click the video tab that always crashes it. If I start a new game or load a game it crashes when I "hit spacebar" to continue. When I changed my desktop resolution to a lower setting I was sometimes able to browse the video settings but still couldn't get past the loading screen.

I completed the game when it was on the Bethesda Launcher and then transferred everything to my Steam account when the Bethesda Launcher shut down. Now that it's on Steam it crashes. I'm wondering if it's from one of the patches. The Bethesda support people said I can't downgrade and after days of sending e-mails back and forth and doing multiple troubleshooting tasks they basically said "you're screwed" and closed the ticket.
I'd like to play through the campaign again but I get the feeling I really am screwed.

The situation sucks big time.

I'm having similar issues, sometimes it happens a few seconds into the main menu and sometimes I get to play 4 or 5 minues till it happens.
The music keeps playing but everything else is frozen. All I can do is Tab to Steam and close it from there or from task manager.

since you mention installing newest gpu driver, Id suggest trying an older one.
Most often, and I know that with nvidia, known to the community, there is a very stable but older driver version.
When I had issues with games crashing I would go and search that one and install it until nvidia fixed their newest driver and updated it.

Installing the latest graphics card driver was one of the many things the Bethesda tech people had me do. (GeForce Game Ready Driver 552.22 for me) That in addition to latest bios chipset etc. etc. Is the previous driver considered the most stable or will I need to go back further?

Same issue, sometimes I'm 3 seconds into the game, sometimes I'm 15 mins. Seems to be happening since my last driver update yesterday.
