On Xbox and PS, the dread knight was worse because the pace of the game is slower, on PC the Dread Knight is only good against new players but it is a terrible meta pick. Dies in about 4 hits, if you have the DK around on low health you can focus on its partner and then bait out the berserker. EZ PZ.
I recommend you got to Spicy Demons to Git Gud if you plan to stick around, the game is actually really fun and I had a good time earning the nameplates.
There is a visual indicator when the zerker is about to go live, and even when active you have 3 seconds to use the chainsaw, zerker is not instant gibbing also never take the chainsaw upgrade, it is detrimental.
Also be aware of all your escape options, situational awareness is a huge part of this and offensively the Slayer always got the advantage. I really suggest you to go into spicy demons since they got all the guides you need to be effective.
