But unfortunately whenever he tries to discuss other games he tends to hold them up to an imaginary pedestal where DE exists instead of trying to look at them in their own vacuum. I couldn't even watch his Ultrakill video in its entirety, it's just bad. But I LOVE Ultrakill so maybe it's bias.
I agree on most of his opinions about the other games he talked about, but I mostly disagree with him on the Arkham Knight video, though I could see why he would dislike the Batmobile sections. For me, they were not the best feature of Arkham Knight, but they are not the worst. That's the Riddler trophies for me.
He mentioned DE in a lot in non DE videos so I get how this misconception came to be, but it's still a misconception.
I disagreed with him on Arkham Knight because I think combat, predator sections and air traversal are peak in the series. That more than makes up for the not so great parts, and the car wasn't even that bad, just overused for something that's "just okay", when other aspects are excellent. But whatever, sometimes you have to disagree.
The ultrakill video with his buddy strapped to a chair was real bs. It wasn't even funny. His Elden Ring live stream was weird too. He can be a piece of work, so if some people don't like him: okay. But all in all he knows his job and his reviews are well thought out.
