P.S.: I tried original DLSS 2.3 and it have the same issues. It gives me just 5% fps boost on Quality and -5%(!?!?) on Performance mode. So yeah, developers at ID really are some kind of sad sacks.
DLSS4 is largely more about picture quality than performance, even on officially supported games. I have tested DLSS 4 on Doom Eternal @4K. No issues and no performance loss. Then again, I'm running a desktop 4070 Super Ti with 16GB of VRAM.
I have no performance problems at all, and my VRAM usage stays around 7.3-7.5 gigs on Ultra Nightmare if RivaTuner is correct. And yeah, DLSS 4 is about picture quality than performance if we talk about J and K presets, but you will lose not more than 5% of performance compared to CNN model. Either way, there should be at least 15% performance boost on "Quality" .Anyway i already understood that DLSS in this game is broken, even with original DLSS .dll file, and there is nothing you can do bout' it. So i guess this thread kinda closed?
(btw the game was released when only Radeon VII, GTX1080ti and RTX2080ti had more than 8gigs of VRAM so it shouldn't be a problem, even the game says it will utilize 6.5 gigs)
