when will doom the dark ages require the rtx 5060 for the best experience.
When doom eternal came out I got a gtx 1650, only to find out that doom eternal while can run great on the gtx 1650, it required the rtx 2040 for the best experience, I just got an rtx 4060 too hopefully be able to run doom the dark ages at it's full potential, but this morning I heard that they just released the rtx 5060, hopefully that's not required to see doom the dark ages at it's full potential.

What is a 2040?

Also, you can be sure, that The Dark Ages won't require a 50 series card, the 4060 will be more than enough.

I didn't think doom eternal would require anymore than an gtx card

And it doesn't really. Unless you want raytracing, 10 series cards are enough. A 1060 is enough for 1080 p high settings. A 1070 should be enough for 1440p. This game isn't very demanding for how good it looks. And I'm pretty sure, The Dark Ages, while certainly more demanding than Eternal will be relatively easy on the Hardware too.

The only thing that could be a problem with the 4060 are the 8 gigs of VRAM. Just lowering textures a bit will solve that. You'll be fine.
Doom Eternal will run on a potato, its so well optimised that the minimum requirement is a 1050TI a nine year old gpu. Doom the Dark ages is not going to need a 5060 to run.
Id Tech is always the best with optimization. Eternal can run on a Switch. Think about that. I have a 2080 and it runs Eternal with RTX flawlessly. My prediction is Dark Ages will run on my 2080 really well too. Maybe the 50s will get you some higher detail and AI enhancement. But it will still be awesome on both.
