Have a new RX 9000 series cards and it only crashes at final sin boss fight. I know it ain’t my GPU since I stress test it. Replayed doom eternal form the beginning to the end twice in this new GPU and played other newer games with no crash but, icon of sin. It crashed so hard that it completely reboots my drivers. My theory it’s just driver issue but again could just be the game itself.
Got a 9070 XT recently and decided to play the game, had the exact same problem, All was fine until the final sin boss fight. I scoured the net and tried a bunch of different things, but I did a specific thing that helped me - limiting the framerate to a low-ish 90 fps (with RTSS), so that the gpu doesn't "draw" (or spike) more power. Mind you, I had already put it at 180 fps limit, I guess that was too much... Also in the Adrenalin software, did a profile for the game and put -500mhz gpu core frequency offset (which by itself didn't help). I finally managed to finish the game lmao. Hope this helps somebody.

You can try "Radeon Chill" in the Adrenalin software, under the specific game. Set the "idle" and "peak" to the same number. I suppose it should work the same as RTSS, but I haven't tried it.

Cause, after running some test, it seems that sometimes, for no reason, my GPU reach 230+watt of consommation and the game freeze and crash.

But when i use furmark, even when my GPU reach 330+ watt, nothing happens. Looks like my hardware is doing ok so it might be the game ?

Im going to try the radeon chill and update the comm after

EDIT : Don't know if it is really that or something else but the Radeon Chill limitation tanked my FPS a bit but it remained stable and without crash so far

Hopefully the new Doom game doesn’t have any problems, but knowing how things are these days, it might run into some issues. Are any of you planning to get it?

Only issues I ever had with Eternal were fixed with DDU getting rid of the old AMD drivers from my system. This game runs at a solid 100frames, UltraNightmare settings on a freakin' 4060 its amazing. 13 year old cpu btw lmao. Yeah I know I gotta build a new pc for Dark Ages

I posted a fix that worked for me https://steamcommunity.com/app/782330/discussions/0/594019565986447199/

Try turning off Chromatic aberration and possibly clearing the shader cache on the drive the game is installed on example:

A:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\shadercache\782330

I will try this tonight when I get home.

Started crashing again last night, then after re-launching the game over and over again it finally ran, then crashed mid-level, then started crashing during intro videos again, then eventually ran just fine and I played like an hour no problem. Totally random as far as I can tell. No system changes. There's no error reports or messages. Just straight to desktop and absolutely nothing to go off of.

I think my issues are likely not the same as other people's, but who can say for sure, since we've got no error logs? That's really what we need here.

Im confused, I have a 4070 super and haven't experienced a single crash in my 30 or so hours of game play of Eternal. Game ran smooth as butter the whole time. Same cant be said for Doom 2016 tho, I had so many issues with framerate and crashes on that one.
CDN_Merlin 7 ABR a las 1:19 p. m.
Tried what I said I'd try and still crashing.

Also just updated anything that required updating on my MB and still crashing worse now.
