Crashing issues

Is anyone experiencing crashing during game play?

Same here, I'm only halfway through the first mission because my framerate is around 1 fps (game says its 30) and it randomly crashes. I'm trying to find a solution here since reddit and youtube aren't helping

CONSTANTLY wihtin 20 seconds of being in the level. Complete freeze. Many posts about this issue here

I just have it crashing at main menu & when loading a level now & rarely had this issue before. Did the recent update have something to do with it?

I just tried running it again & now it states it failed to launch the game that an update is required. There is no update available for the game so something is definitely wrong on their end.

I'm experiencing the same issue, everything seem to run fine at first, but then the game suddenly freezes and eventually crashes. It usually happens right when the action ramps up.

The last update was 8/2024 for MODS, I wanted to get back to play it before DOOM the dark ages is release.

That's strange cuz I got a few updates lately at different times I can't recall so I'm confused how the update for it is that far back when mine was pretty recent. Steam is making it very confusing to keep up with it.

That's strange—I haven't received any updates and I'm a bit confused myself. But I’m thinking that if a new Doom game gets released, there might be an update pushed for the older Doom titles as well.

That would make sense. Either way it sucks being unable to play it now.

I was able to get the game to work, all I did was uninstall and reinstall the game and it work.

I updated my Gpu with lastest Drivers and i cant play for more then 20 seconds now without it crashing 4070 ti Super

These small few megabyte updates here and there are pre-compiled shaders, they are provided by Steam, not by id Software. If you want to check whether they are causing problems, disable the cache in Steam Settings > Downloads > Shader Pre-Caching, and delete the cached files located in the SteamLibrary folder where you have the game installed: ...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\shadercache\782330

Note that disabling the cache might result in it being invalidated, resulting in all currently cached data having to be re-downloaded once you re-enable the cache❕

problem is nvidia driver. Reinstall older version - GeForce Game Ready Driver 566.36
And crashing is gone

you have a 4070 ti super and its crashing that suck, did you try reinstalling the older driver?
