yes it's boring
And never say you mastered the game. Not even the 100% runners would make that claim. I as a noob player who's getting constantly better am kind of glad that I get years of content without ever getting bored.
I have the feeling that some people think they are entitled to have UN handed over to them. It's certainly hard, but here's the good thing: you don't have to do it. You can do it next year. In two years. Til you die.
I'm pretty sure Alstin posted a video about save states without using a trainer. I don't think it's hard.
I will say that boss fights get much easier as your skill develops. The Khan Maykr and Trial of Maligog are extremely quick and easy for me now and the Icon of Sin isn't difficult once you understand his attacks and have a strat for dealing with the spawns as they come.
Probably the toughest boss fight is Samur. It's extremely unforgiving in the last phase if you don't execute perfectly. If you don't delete the Pain Elemental's spirit and let it repossess a new one it's extremely difficult to recover from.
Samur is even less disconnected, since the whole thing basically boils down to fighting spirited demons. It's just tedious and much easier to die in the last two phases. But it certainly doesn't require learning any new skills or attack patterns. If you want to complete UN, it's not going to be all fun.
