[BUG] Flaming Meathook + chainsaw doesn't always yield armour shards

Has anyone else encountered this? I've noticed more often then not that I don't get any armour from this combo.

yeah you won't if using the meathook u have to get the kill from the SSG to drop the armour while its toasty or the kill must come instant by another weapon as the hook removes its self.

if you flame belch the demon then chain saw it will give u shards

-neon doom- is correct you have to make the kill with the SSG in order to get the armour drop the flame from the meathook doesn't last long at all once the hook removes itself if you can weapon switch really quick then maybe yeah you will get the armour drop though i don't know myself i haven't tried that because i normally either make the kill with the SSG or again as neon doom rightfully said i use the flame belch first then chainsaw demon for armour shards along with ammo .

The SSG flame will usually time out before the chainsaw animation completes. The faster glory kill rune may get around this issue, but I prefer to just quick switch to Ballista/RPG honestly.

Faster Glory Kills don't work with the chainsaw. I always run it.

you can get a mod that speeds up chainsaw animations.

No you can't lol theres no rune that changes chainsaw speed. Maybe in 2016, but not eternal. Also, you CAN get armor with the flaming meathook without using the ssg, but you have to quickswap to PB or ballista to get the kill immediately after hooking

This is it ...it appears its still on fire when you go in but it doesn't last the entire animation .

sorry for misunderstanding initially space lol. Regardless, isn't that kind of cheating? There's a reason the chainsaw can't be sped up

who do you consider it cheating against? it's a single player game and it doesn't affect battlemode.

honestly the glory kill rune speed rune should apply to the chainsaw, anyway. it fixes a glaring oversight, if anything. even the mod states you gotta use the fast glory kill rune for it to work.
