^ I played eternal on a GamePass trial, it's the first Doom game I have no interest in playing again.

I like both but Eternal is like the only singleplayer campaign ever that got 600 hours out of me.

like in itself its not a bad game , its just , if i wanted to spend half the time wall climbing and double jumping id play a metroidvania , and all the constant info dump pop-ups telling me about another suit add-on or weapon are just immersion breaking. it has no atmosphere at all

Doom eternal is a better game, but Doom 2016 had a better atmosphere.

I didn't mind that. What annoyed me the most with Eternal before I decided that the game just wasn't for me was the constant running out of ammo and having no scrub enemies to use the chainsaw on without jumping around like a circus artist to find one while being chased by other large enemies that were trying to block the entire screen all at once. If dark ages is like this then it's a no buy from me because I ain't part of the target audience for it.
