Stop playing games only to get the achievements

There are many people that come to this forum and ask for help to get the achievements. Initially, I didn't mind but now I do mind because this behaviour is simply stupid and I hate stupidity.

Can someone tell me what is the point of achievements? Do you get any money? Do you get any food? Do you get more rights and freedoms? Do you get a better life because someone helped you to reach the 200 kills by just not moving in a shooter? What the heck do you get from playing just to get the achievements? In 10 years, what do you think these achievements will give you? It will not get you a job. No employer will look at your Steam profile and check your achievements. That simply will never happen because they are not so stupid to believe in this big lie and 99.9% of the employers will simply not care if you game. Nobody really cares if you got the achievements by cheating or even if you got them by playing normally. People care if you actually get the skills and quality. Do you have them? Show me! Don't play for the achievements. Play to show me that you have the skills.

In conclusion, if you play only for achievements, if you ask other people to join you to get the achievements, I'd recommend that you not only delete that game but you also stop gaming, delete your Steam profile, delete any other gaming profile, delete all your games.

Been playing since release and haven't got a single mp achievement, because I don't care for mp or achievments.

Yep, I got all the MP achievements just by playing BM when the game was active. It would take ages to do that now.

So yeah, just to spite OP - if you need help with MP achievements, add me.

I see that some people are taking offense to OP's post, and I can understand why.
After all, who are they to question the value of achievements or suggest that playing games primarily for the sake of earning them is somehow misguided?
Clearly, these responses are born out of a deep-seated insecurity about their own gaming choices and a desperate need to prove themselves to others.

Seems less stupid to hunt achievements than to care how others enjoy playing games. To care so much about something that doesn't even affect you (or to change your username because you're mad about creative use of gameplay mechanics) speaks of an unhappy, troubled mind.

Probably nobody here has a job or has ever had a job. You probably can do useless things all day without any consequence because you don't have to pay any bills with money that you earned through hard work. Was it? or are you trying to tell people how they should play the game because it somehow offends you that some people play for achievements, get down from the high horse, people can play as they like.

i was about to engage seriously, but then i remembered ur the guy who HATES ballista boosting in the multiplayer

people can do whatever they want. simple as. there's no reason to insult people over this. ur not opening the eyes of anyone here. your hostile approach to this topic isn't going to do anything but anger achievement hunters. and they are the ones you're trying to reach here. do you think you'll have a productive conversation with parents when all you do is list their failures?
