The only way to kill a Cursed Prowler after it Cursed you is to Blood Punch it. You can Dash while Cursed, but Meathook still works. Better to kill those guys before they hit you, use Chaingun Shield to block their attacks and be on alert for their distinctive spawning sound and for their unique green color once they spawn. They have as much health as regular Prowlers, so one Ballista hit leaves them open for a Glory Kill and Meathook + SSG also works.
Probably tried it closer to a hundred times (or so it feels at this stage).
EDIT: Got there in the end. Now that I realised it was the last mission of the campaign it made sense for it to be extremely tedious and long. I just thought it was just a regular mission and I had missed a point.

Arch-Vile is the one demon you really don’t want to leave alive. Ice Bomb + two Lock-On Bursts take care of him really well.
I've been going Ice bomb + hammer + unmaykr. I'll try your method as well
