Unclear Video Settings - Difference Render Mode: Cinematic and Off ?
  • Sharpening: While I know what sharpening is - should that really be turned on? Never saw that in another as standalone, only in conjuction with image scaling. A native resolution should not require sharpening...
  • Vertical Sync: On, Off, Adaptive, Triple Buffering: Normally I just have it on "On". Is "adaptive" to choose when you have free-sync and g-sync? And foremost: What is Tripple Buffering doing??
  • Render Mode: Off, Gritty, Cinematic, Retro Console: What are the individual settings *exactly* doing?

--------------------------
Resolution Scaling Mode: Dynamic. Is anybody using that? Or rather not?

I keep sharpening at max as it improves the quality alot.

Render modes are just fun filters that change the way the game looks, eg, retro handheld makes the game look like the OG gameboy.

Thanks for clarifying that.

I hope that other will follow and point out the rest.

Sharpening will be fine at pretty much any setting, higher values can get a tad grainy

Turn vertical Sync off.

Render modes are personal preference, I like cinematic.

Resolution Scaling Mode depends on your pc, if you want (or need) consistent and high frames then turn it to dynamic.

Thanks. I will try cinematic.

Why turning vertical sync off?
Just using fps limitation instead?

Vertical sync has long since been known to cause issues with fps, it's just very messy in this game and because of how insanely optimized it already is you won't be missing the frames it could give you.
