As for the rainbow stuff. Come on man. Us queers just want to love you like we love each other. No need for the tears bro. Just love.
Generally, I would like to see them build the game out in a way that minimizes iframe use in general. I think it could make the game faster with less downtime. And I say this as someone who plays Eternal in a way that maximizes GK use.
They could give a melee attack that gives health and also triggers tokens for demons within a perimeter around you to simulate being swarmed during a GK without actually needing the animation, for example. That would make health resupply potentially dangerous in a similar way it is now but also make it instant.
Definitely mechanics they could consider to speed things up.
I like that in eternal you have one more reason to use it (refill your BP), maybe they will give you a new reason now to use it, and if they remove it, they should make it worth it
It is an insanely powerful tool in Eternal however - so much so that it's virtually impossible to ignore.
Not just for health/iframes either - it can recharge dashes, charges blood punch, stalls for other cooldowns, and more importantly procs the blood fueled rune which encourages frequent GKs to maintain uptime.
Plus there's so little risk in this game for using it that it's basically a no-brainer every time. I think they should definitely take a look at either increasing the risk or reducing the reward.
Yes, those comments from the devs do worry me a lot.
Speeding the game up more than Eternal - already a fast game - is going to be too much for a lot of people. So you're probably right: there could be even more emphasis on GKs and setting up animation based iframes.
i'm forced to play doom eternal
i'm forced to do glory kills in doom eternal
i'm forced to use chainsaw in doom eternal
i'm being held hostage by doom eternal

You do, which is why you can buffer swapping to the chaingun and activating personal shield before iframes end and prevent any (non-aoe) damage.
