wow
- great environment design, every other room has something unique going on
- mostly cool enemy designs
- mostly cool guns
- really repetitive encounters that don't make full use of varied enemy roster until about last quarter of the game
- really boring writing
- balance isn't great, too much ammo, armor is almost pointless
- if you want to ape Half-Life too much, why constantly have third person cutscenes?
I personally don't give a damn that it's "not Doom" and it would be an all time classic for me if id spent some time polishing the encounters and overall balance, and maybe hired a competent writer.Doom 3 shotgun is good.

Makes me miss bein a kid, when crap like politics wasn't a concern, when food just magically appeared in the fridge when i got home, and when Mortal Kombat was a 3D fighter on the Playstation 2 instead of being the least respected thing in the FGC.
Kinda makes me feel like i wasted my life honestly. Great, now i'm nostalgic and soapboxing for no reason. Lol
They aren't now.
My house has a no politics rule, they do not exist, you will not discuss them unless you wish to make a hasty visit to the street.
I sort of have that worked out.
Walmart app, it is magically bagged up and stuffed in the car for me on my way through
I still have to stuff it in the fridge and pretend it just appeared.
Close as i can get so far.
Still better than when i was a kid i guess, cause it got in the fridge, cause i carried the damned stuff home, and it was never anything that i wanted.
It still is, and i still suck at it.
It is only a visit to the closet away.

Take your pick, you gotta put it all away though
At least this now is a case of Schrödinger's Cat. Two different realities, depending on which side you look from, it will be true to you.
But I can still see a classic case of projection—judging others by your own playbook.
So whatever fabrication I see about me, it is probably 10times more true about the one's throwing it my way.
When OP hits the nail on the head with 'Good game, bad Doom,' it unveils the inconvenient truth some would rather not face, leading to the usual tactics: personal attacks and fabrications.
As for your ban, it seems like you've merely harvested what was sown. Rest assured, my hands are clean.
No really it wasn't, but by all means, continue your journey through floor 13
There are no inherent gameplay restrictions. There are OPTIONS, and many of them. Its entirely on YOU if you choose too handicap yourself.
People have been talking fondly about Doom 3 for ages. There was even a remaster a few years ago that did pretty good. How new are you?
One of the things I like about the 3 modern Doom games has been the variation.
