In my case I am running with outdated driver like 5 months but my gpu is handling fine so far.
Are you getting this warning before going to to the game cinematic entrance? If not then your files may be corrupted. In fact I admit when I've downloaded the game for the first time couple nights ago. The entire download got corrupted and had to be verified all over again. After that procedure, the game itself executed fine.
I tried many things as well, including:
1. reinstalling
2. verify game integrity files in Steam
3. use administrator account when running the game
4. repairing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
5. restarting PC
6. disabling antivirus features
7. changing CPU affinity
But none of the above worked. But then finally I ran a command in command prompt to check corrupted Windows files:
sfc /scannow
Then it finally work. Just make sure that you run command prompt as administrator and the result of the above command is successful. It took around 10-15 minutes to complete. The game finally work after that for me. Perhaps you can try it.
Ever since i re-installed the game some weeks ago, it only successfully launched a total of 3 times, including today.
Now it works.
