Hardest Enemy to Defeat

For me personally it is the Doom Hunter

Not because he is particularly difficult but because of the amount of ammo that is required to take out his legs. Sure you can chain gun this thing, but on Super Gore Nest, when you have the Cyber Demon giants 2 of them in a cramped room. Then one of the Doom Hunters spawn in. Especially on harder difficulty. Its fast its engaging has a ranged attack, and takes a lot of bullets. And fires back at you while shielded.

This enemy is more difficult than marauder in my opinion.

I am not considering DLC enemies including the Curse. But for the base master level enemies, that you find in master levels. These guys are surely up there with being pretty tough to deal with. Usually it is either the first or the last enemy to be dealt with in the fight.

Couple of moments in the gore nest where you have to get rid of it early due to lack of space, and the onslaught of heavier demons and toxic manc that follow it. Seems to me, i cant really take it out effectively without chain gun and shield which seem to do it in one full load of bullets all the way to the kill.
You might think well you just have to chain gun the thing.

Well actually, depending what other threats are around you'll probably be wanting chain gun for its effect on bunch of other enemies, and during complete swarm mix of Doom Hunter supported by a bunch of tiny demons its pretty engaging.

You don;t really get a second with this guy, like on a marauder you know the double fight in toxic sludge where you have to keep recollecting the toxic suit, and you have two marauders attacking you, and limited zombies to saw, coming from an area with limited ammo, I found that fight to be less damaging than fighting a doom hunter in any situation.

What r your thoughts?

Not impossible, just annoying.

You are enticed to combo him into oblivion though - that goes with the game's flow pretty well.

I still think it's dumb that other demons can trigger his shield though - crap like that happening is what breaks up the flow and it started out as a bug.

I think other demons triggering his shield and summoning the dog doesn't break the flow of combat. When the dog appears, you are forced to move around more, which is what the combat is encouraging you to do anyways.

Simple problem, simple solution!

its like real life: if you punch the doom hunter's wheelchair it breaks and you can kill him faster
