Taras Nabad bug? door won't open
I'm in Taras Nabad for the first time, after the Archvile fight and in the room with the "Part X" history page and the cyber-mancubus toy. There's a door at the top of some stairs that won't open. after about twenty minutes of searching the room, I gave up and went to a youtube walkthrough where it showed a cutscene should start when I step within arm's reach of the door. The waypoint marker is far ahead of me in the map.

I reloaded from a checkpoint, saw the waypoint marker was at the door at the top of the stairs, but when I approach the door the waypoint marker disappears and the door won't open.

I quit to desktop, continued the campaign and... same deal. Waypoint at the door, get close to the door and the waypoint moves to someplace further into the map but the doors don't open. I hit tilde ~ to see if there was an error message, this is what I saw:

You could try verifying your game files through Steam. There might be some corrupted files. If it doesn't work, I guess you could try restarting the mission.

Restarted the mission. Goes a lot faster when I know what I'm doing and I "figured out" how to take down the Archvile. I got back to the door and... same as before. I touch the door, waypoint moves, nothing happens. Tried pressing 'E' to interact, I just punch the door and oddly it doesn't make the thudding sound I get when I punch static walls.

Wait. I bring down the ~ tilde console, and I see a new message
layer1 sending interaction IA_DOOR_OPEN to game_interact_doors_sentinel_gate_02_8!

When I come back from the tilde console, now I have "PRESS [E]" just under the reticle in my HUD. and that starts the cutscene. Weird.

Go back and there is zombie most of the time around tentacles

That door is weird, you need to be standing at a small distance from it to open it.
