I'm a little lost. I did an upgrade on health and armour and got a perk, but then I slept, and now I can't find out how to contribute to increasing these traits or how.

No abuse please. Self-confessed noob here.

To apply Weapon points, you must first unlock the weapon for upgrades by finding the mod bot. Once you find one and apply it to the weapon you want upgraded then you can use weapon points.

Sentinel Crystals found in maps give you the opportunity to improve health/armour and ammo. The point you were probably awarded afterwards was a weapons point. These are the only points awarded to you automatically as you progress. The rest you gotta find.

No disrespect intended, but I see you can type and make words, so I can assume you can read also. Press TAB while in-game and read the journal. It covers everything you will need to know.

In the mean time, just play, most of what your asking will come to light the deeper you go.

Any questions??

I don't really understand what you mean. You don't have to improve the perks. Once you unlocked one, it stays that way. They are pretty powerful as they are.

The first ones I unlock are loot magnet and flame belch boost, both are essential for survivability. Then it's up to your priorities. Personally I like to go on with armor for blood and health for blood, because blood punch is a powerful tool, not to be underestimated. But if you want to go for more armor from demons first, that's useful too.

You find one sentinel crystal in every level except the first, the second to last and the last.

Also don't forget that there are 2 Sentinel Crystals locked in the Fortress of Doom, mayk sure to collect as many Sentinel Batteries in early missions as possible so you can unlock them. Sentinel Batteries can be physically found over maps and you achieve an additional one if you beat all mission challenges of a level, Cultist Base is the first level to have Mission Challenges.

Speaking of Fortress of Doom, it is wise to unlock content in this order:
1. Sentinel Crystals
2. Weapon Mods
3. Praetor Suit Points
4. Skins.

I slightly disagree. I find praetor tokens more important than mod bots, so I would change the order. After level four, when you first are able to use the batteries in the fortress, you already found six bots in the levels and you'll find another two in Super Gore Nest. I think everyone has those two or three mods they never use. But everyone needs praetor tokens.

Sounds feasible, I just never thought about it this way since you get a Praetor Suit Token for every challenge completed and also there are 3-5 of them per level physically on the map. Yet still, there are a lot of valuable perks that take up 4 or 5 Tokens. Thanks for pointing it out :)

Yes, you get a lot of tokens, and at the end you have a few you can't use. But I think it's important to get your slayer strong fast. If you find all tokens, do all challenges and take all from the fortress, your slayer is almost fully upgraded after Mars Core (I don't count the map section, just the gameplay relevant upgrades).

Then, when you come home from the gladiator, you can still pick the last two weapon mods.

Various things to upgrade can be overwhelming at first but you'll get the hang of it.

Easiest way to begin understanding them is to identify which perk associates where. You can view these in your map menu. Upper right corner there are four symbols, going left to right;

Weapon points - Upgrades weapon abilities, cool downs etc. Amount of tokens needed for a single upgrade varies.

Mastery Tokens - To do with upgrading weapon as well and rare to find. After upgrading weapons by the usual means by using Weapon points, there's an additional challenge to master each individual weapon. This token is like a cheat and used to bypass the challenge requirement. A challenge for example might be to kill 50 enemies uniquely to the weapon you're trying to master.

Praetorian points - Suit upgrades, various types of upgrades to improve your game play and exploration.

Sentinel Batteries - These are used to open doors at your space head quarters, each door requiring two batteries. I wasted a couple opening a door outside for a stupid skin lol. There are other more valuable doors inside to explore.

Thanks. That's really helpful. I'm on the third level and getting the hang of it now. It's not as difficult as it first seems bearing in mind you can acquire ammo health and armour through the ways you kill the creeps.

Loving it.

I'd like too add the suit options, I always get barrells for ammo, all 3 first. For me it helps alot early in the game. Loot Magnet & Flame belch. whatever suits your play style.
