I think it's great that id followed the proper implementation of the solution and removed it. I don't think anyone would actually be unhappy its gone.

It's nice not to have that junk hanging around the computer.
I don't see any improvements on the FPS department or overall performance with Denuvo gone, Anti-Denuvo sisters what is going on?

it has no bearing on performance when properly implemented

Digital Foundry basically confirmed that the performance hit from Denuvo in this game was a lie.

All this will do is silence the "but mah game preservation/ consumer rights" Fairweather malcontents.

For everyone else it's basically another Tuesday.

Yes it does.

The Steam apps will eat up CPU cycles even in off line mode. You can check yourself by running "Super PI" with the Steam apps open then completly closed, ie not active.

This is why you want the minimum amount of programes running in task manger for absolute best gaming performance.

Good, this is finally worth buying on the PC now.

Anti tamper don't affect performances, but still a nice move. Good for the placebo kid.

Being arbitrarily locked out of the game because anything with Denuvo is a glorified rental sounds like a pretty big negative effect on performance to me.

Every game in your steam library is a LITERAL rental....
you don't own any game

"I don't care that denuvo literally needs me to phone home to their servers in order to play my game"

The Steam client and any games that use only the client as DRM are portable and work in Offline Mode indefinitely on any machine. Denuvo requires you to phone home to a server to ask permission to play what you've bought. They're not even remotely the same thing.

If that were true, then they could liberally remove paid-for softwares at their leisure -- but they can't. They instead have to keep discontinued titles available forever in the pipe, if even only one person retains it.
Steam is a platform where you pay for access to your games.
They operate in a legally gray area with dubious international business footing, such as current actions seeking to abuse older OS users, by locking them away from their goods on the first of next year.

All because the above is a current practice, doesn't make it a just practice.

If customers blindly or willingly prostrate to such abuses, that's their decision to submit their monetary orifices to those corporate masters for plundering.
What's not okay is anyone talking down to other customers who are concerned about their digital rights & property, and standing up for themselves.

Denuvo does enough actual & potential damage to be righteously vilified -- and customers who are wary of its inclusion are clearly the more practical & better-informed consumer.
