Yeah haha, have a huge watchlist on that side of games I own, so I can track what files are affected when they are updated and also so I don't miss any updates.

There were two types: anti-cheat and anti-tamper. The anti-cheat was removed early.

The leaked executable story is true haha, but Denuvo stayed in because it still had use as people wanted the latest updates the game got. Bethesda just wanted people to pay for it, but that situation actually also satisfied people who wanted to sail the seven seas to try out the game for a longer while before buying it haha.

Pardon, I may not be so knowledgeable about Denuvo ,but whats the big deal about Denuvo being there that makes it playable ,if removed?

That is something else, but also true yeah. Anti-cheat was added post-launch, but removed already like a week after that after HUGE (and I mean huuuuuge) backlash of the community.

Denuvo is just a DRM solution that prevents piracy. Shouldn't make games unplayable for years to come (assuming the DRM-servers stay online) and only can degrade performance extreeeeeemely slightly in case you are CPU-limited. So, if you previously couldn't run the game, nothing should have changed. But now Denuvo has been removed, so no one has to worry about it anymore if they did previously :)

Edit: Not 100% sure/confirmed, but heard that some Denovo-decryption during loading could slightly increase loading-times. Could be that boot-times and general level loading times have been improved a bit.

Again, there should be a negligable difference regarding performance. If there is, it is extremely likely to be the placebo effect.

It was working fine already here... (and also with my old pc with a ssd and a hdd, and this game was installed in that hdd...)
