How many bugs have you found?
I've found a few bugs in this game.

For example, in Ancient Gods 2, in the last 2-phase slayer gate, on Immora, when I clicked to start it, basically nothing happened. The orange sphere disappeared as usual and no demon appeared. This has not happened the first time I played Ancient Gods 2, but during the second time, when playing the extra lives mode.

Another small but more annoying bug is when you try to jump onto certain walls or objects you can't jump onto, where you start to lag as f*ck. Have you also encountered this? I suppose this is not a problem with my computer, which is powerful enough to play this game, although I'm using a 60hz monitor - this is never a problem in other cases, if it's the problem in this case.

Another bug is really at the beginning, when you start the game, in the first menu. Often, I try to click to sign-in to Bethesda, but I can't because my mouse pointer does not match some mouse pointer of the game that it's at the top-left corner. This often goes away after a a few seconds or if you try to place your actual mouse pointer onto the game mouse pointer, but they could have solved this bug.

I think there were other small bugs too, but overall this game is not that buggy. The second bug above is annoying though.

Feel free to post below examples of bugs you've found (and maybe also the solutions to them, if they required solutions), so that future players can also check if something is just happening to them or not.

I wouldn't even know where to start, or where to end... here's a few that immediately come to my mind:

  • Die in the arena after you get the dash, and you have a good chance to get softlocked with the door not opening anymore.
  • Soldiers and Marauders are sometimes invulnerable to Precision Bolt.
  • Grenades can get stuck in the Marauder's shield, leaving him frozen with the shield out until the grenade explodes, which can take from seconds to even minutes.
  • The Revenants in Doom Hunter Base's lava room sometimes do not appear, and you have to wait 1 or 2 minutes until the game lets you proceed.
  • With the right timing, killing an Archvile while spawning is in progress, can result in half spawned enemies staying around, which may or may not come alive in that half spawned state, and then may or may not be invulnerable.
  • There's always a chance to softlock when you start the cannon cutscene in Mars Core (might be ML exclusive).
  • In the Mars Core Master Level in Classic Mode, weapon mods may not work/appear until you have both mods.
  • You can get forever stuck in the broken windows of Marios Restaurant in Arc Complex.
  • Icon Of Sin might not appear in the first phase (possibly spawn cap related).
  • With less than 36 FPS the first Wolf in World Sphere won't activate the fight, leaving you softlocked.
  • Manteling/grabbing ledges can cause a teleport (for example in Exultia it can teleport you back to the Slayer Gate).
  • UAC Atlantica is full of rails that can yeet you into a different dimension when you mantel/grab them.
  • Fall too far, loose your double jump.
  • Jump after running into "ramped" geometry, loose (insta-use) your double jump.
  • Switching weapons/mods while pickung up secrets can cause your hands/weapons to disappear (switching weapons using the weapon wheel fixes it).
  • The map scroll sound can get stuck when exiting while moving the map.
  • The snake rattle sound can get stuck (no idea how it's triggered), it will bake into your save, not even restarting the game will make it go away, it will only stop once a voice line plays.
  • A weird scratching sound can get stuck to weapon switching.
  • Memory leaks where DLSS can cause your framerate to dip into the 10-20 FPS range.
  • If you remap the map key, it can only be used to open the map, closing it will stay bound to TAB.
  • and many many more...

Not a problem with your system, no, the game is just littered with sticky walls. They're kinda annoying.

Well, thanks for sharing. I've never encountered any of the bugs you listed, as far as I can remember. It seems like you made them up. Moreover, some of them may not be bugs, but features. We know that certain enemies are (almost?) invulnerable to certain weapons, so saying that the Marauder is invulnerable to the Precision Bold may not actually be a bug, although I've never noticed this. Who the Jekkad would use the precision bolt against the Marauder? It makes no sense. One just needs to use the Ballista and super shot gun. Easy and fun.

But I remember now another one: sometimes, when click TAB to see the map or other stuff, then quit, and go back to the game, I keep hearing the annoying sound of when you switch the view while looking at the map. Then I have to go back to the map, by pressing TAB, and rotate the map again to make that go away.

Excuse me? I would wager that you simply don't have enough hours in the game yet, and thus didn't stumble over as many bugs.

I hope I don't have to go and reproduce all the other stuff just to prove my "credibility".

Except for the Spirit, all enemies are vulnerable to all weapons (not counting the chainsaw). Technically the Marauder is invulnerable to the Crucible, as it only works on him when he's in glory kill state, but let's not be picky here.

Other than that there are only resistances, some enemies are more/less resistant to specific weapons, ie the take more or less damage from them, but that's unrelated. The precision bolt invulnerability is a bug, and it presents differently for Shield Solders, who will take no damage at all (from direct hits when they don't have their shields out yet), and the Marauder who will take damage, but won't falter, despite taking the required amount of damage for a falter.

Precision bolt is (meant to be) a guaranteed falter, so lots of people use it on him, most prominently in so called SLOBs.

Yes, it's true, I've not played as much as you, but I've played (only) almost 200 hours (played the campaign three times, finished Horde and also played a couple of Battlemode 2.0 matches) and I've not encountered any of your bugs, but maybe I will. We will see. The bugs could also be hardware-specific and some of them might have been solved meanwhile. I don't know if the developers are still working on the game, but I wish they were. I wish there was more content. The game feels short, although I already spent almost 200 hours on it.

The most common bug that I encounter is when a Prowler just stands in place. That is the most buggy AI I have encountered in the game.

Btw, actually, I found this bug that you mentioned: "The map scroll sound can get stuck when exiting while moving the map.". This seems to be the bug I've mentioned in my second comment above. It's a bit annoying.

Have you tried to contact Id Software about any of these bugs? I tried to contact them once about the menu bug I mentioned above and they told me to create some kind of report file with all game data, which you can generate with a command. I didn't do it because I didn't have the time to look into the file and make sure it doesn't contain sensitive data, but I'd be curious to know if they actually address our concerns.

All the bugs I've mentioned are present in the latest patch. Many of them are known for a long time already.

Anyways, if you're looking for new content, then you need to look into mods. If you're looking for a ball busting challenge, then I'd highly recommend the Kaiser Campaign.

I've found another bug myself now. The voice of the broadcast in the Fortress of Doom (after having completed the Super Gore Nest mission, if this detail is relevant) stopped after I did something (I don't know if it was that I went away from the screen where you start the broadcast, or I clicked TAB, or something else). I still saw the subtitles but, again, the voice of the woman stopped once I got again close the that green screen.

I've found another possible bug. Sometimes, when I go through the orange pamphlet (with the codex entry), I don't immediately see the notification on the top left. Sometimes, I need to click TAB, go to the codex, and exit to the game to see the notification. Other times, I just wait and it appears a few seconds later.

There are plenty lol. Encounters never ending with respawning fodder (because a meatball got stuck floating outside the map somewhere or something), force fields not engaging/disappearing before or after an encounter, that damn turret elevator on ARC complex, etc.

EDIT: Here's a rare one I just experienced, and only have once before - After I killed a possessed Arachnotron, before I could fry the spirit something happened that launched me really high, and I mean REALLY high. The first mountain arena on World Spear went from full size to about the size of a golf ball on my monitor lol. Took me about fifteen seconds to hit the ground.

My favorite bug is when a prowler teleports into geometry and prevents the arena from ending, spawing endless fodder.

Takes a BFG shot across the arena to clear it.

Another bug in the menu - the menu background is black. Going back to the desktop with ALT + TAB does not solve the issue. Actually, everything was black, even when I started the multiplayer. I couldn't also see the usual entrances of the Slayer and 2 demons before the multiplayer, but I saw the VS symbol, and other stuff, but the rest was black

The amount of game-breaking bugs that were never fixed in Eternal (and never will be) is quite numerous.

1. Melee hit registration problems, usually pertaining to gore and ragdolls will constantly grief anybody who likes using blood punch. Thankfully, these issues are heavily mitigated with a couple console commands and a mod or two.

2. Sticky geometry (as OP mentioned) eating your dashes and movement if you get close. However, this is not FPS-related like OP thinks. Completely fixable with a single console command.

3. The game uses a global critical hit detection system...which makes sticky bomb behavior very...interesting.

4. Encounter-related softlocks on various levels. Namely, two common softlocks on Immora that were never fixed and require a mod to get rid of. Another very frequent softlock on Cultist Base Master Level, also requires a mod to fix. I've also heard many repeated tales of softlocks on World Spear related to the dogs and other particular encounters.

Let's also talk about Vanilla Battlemode - which has a plethora of unsolved critical bugs to this day including:

1. Lootblock frequently not working when used while an AI is dying (and before it has spawned it's loot). In modded multiplayer this can be heavily mitigated.

2. Remember being unable to chainsaw traversing demons? Yeah, that was never fixed in Battlemode. Instead, Battlemode got an unfinished solution that made the problem even worse. Rather than following through and completing the fix, they just disabled your ability to chainsaw traversing demons in multiplayer. Fantastic, isn't it?

3. Slayer third person mantle animations are a mess - the model will constantly clip into geometry making him unhittable. The animation also plays slower than the true speed of the first person mantle, creating a visual disconnect for demon players. The speed-related issue can be fixed in modded multiplayer.

4. Still noticeable visual desync issues, especially pertaining to projectile-based weapons like Arbalest.

Let's also give a shoutout to some bugs that were fixed only after plaguing the game for years:

1. Minimap background audio playing after you left the minimap, and playing permanently until you closed the game. The audio would also stack with repeated opening/closing of the minimap.

2. Loot drops having collision with your weapons. It took them 3 patches to properly fix this.

3. As bad as melee hit detection is now, it was much worse at launch.
