Then in the game verify that the high performance GPU is actually being used by enabling full performance metrics ("Settings > Video > Video > Performance Metrics"), they will show you the name of the GPU that is being used.
1. I have a laptop with dedicated GPU 1650Ti and an integrated GPU of AMD with the Ryzen processor.
2. Doom Eternal always used to give me "Could not enumerate physical devices" despite me selecting to start the game with Nvidia gpu and high performance everywhere.
3. I used to start it like this... first disabled amd gpu in device manager, start the game, as soon it starts i enable the amd gpu in device manager, game worked fine like that.
4. Wolfenstein started giving me similar issue for which this workaround didn't work.
5. Went to find solutions and found out maybe it can be amd driver issue that cannot enumerate device properly.
6. OP of that steam thread gave the solution to download AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition , install it and update the amd driver to the latest version and restart pc.
7. Wolfenstein and Doom Eternal both working correctly now without any workaround.
If your situation is the same, try this and let us know if it fixed.
