How strong is Doom Slayer actually?

Also, he can survive insane acceleration events. He handled deorbiting Mars like he was waking up from a nap.

When he fired himself out of that mass driver on the BFG 10K map he experienced some insane acceleration events. The mass driver had to make very minimal corrections due to gravity (it chose a very linear trajectory to the target). He also reached the target in a very short span of time. I think it would be fair to say he may have been accelerated up to a significant fraction of the speed of light. Note how short that mass driver's barrel is. For him to hit that kind of speed in that short of a window his average acceleration must have been nuts. Then he effectively comes to a dead stop when he finally hits. Doomguy easily experienced 1000g+ acceleration events.

Or, it's just animated that way because the devs aren't actually physicists...

The lore entries also explicitly describe him literally going through hell and back. Multiple times.

So, he's pretty strong if any of this matters.

But in gameplay 3 barrels ♥♥♥♥♥ him up ♥♥♥♥♥
