How hard is ultra violent?

I dont play much shooters but had fun playing the Halo collection on heroic this year.

I played tis game now for about 3 hours and it was fun at the beginning. I choose the third difficulty just like in halo and all was fine until i'm now in an "arena" in the cultist base mission.

I have 4 weapons and the newest enemies are these big guys with the guns instead of arms and these snake like enemies.

And i have no idea how you are even supposed to do this. This would be hard enough with unlimited ammo and dash. There are so many different enemies and its always the best way to kill them with one specific move.

They are so quick and always right on you. I'm close to giving up. ...

Freeze the snake. Snipe the arms on fat dudes. Always keep moving, and keep moving side to side erratically while you do to throw off enemy aim. Rocket launcher is very powerful, did you take Lock On mod for it? Lock On absolutely murders every single enemy that’s giving you trouble right now, but eats through your rocket supply - but that’s what the chainsaw is for. Don’t forget to upgrade it with weapon points!

When I first played DE, I played it on Nightmare. The first couple big arenas in Cultist Base - the one where you get the RL and the one before you go into the fortress - killed me like 30-40 times. Now I can just blow through. It gets easier once you upgrade HP, armor, grenades and get ballista and chaingun. Make sure to prioritize Faster Dasher in suit upgrades and Loot Magnet in crystal perks, those help a lot.

Well i dropped the difficulty to the second one and made it. Its still pretty insame. Barely made it.

Nont know if that game is for me. Its just really chaotic. You always run out of ammo too. They throw too much sh*t at you at the same time. Not really my pacing XD

Is very hard, takes a while to get used to that level. But is not impossible.

I started at UV, dropped down to hurt me plenty after a few levels because it was too hard for me too. There's a lot to learn, a lot of mechanics to internalize, but once you got a feel for it, it becomes much easier. I think I upped to nightmare on my third playthrough.

That said, you won't master the game in one playthrough, you'll have to stick with it, but if you do it's super satisfying to improve. There will be moments of frustration, but these will help you grow into an unstoppable killing machine eventually.

Give it a chance, play it through on a low difficulty. Then you can decide if you want to continue. Or you move on to something else, no shame in that, the game isn't for everyone. Like every game I guess.

If its your first doom game play on hurt me plenty, UV is too hard for new players. Just gradually go up a difficulty each playthrough.

Well this games piss*s me off. Now i'm stuck in a demon. I need to get a power shotgun and cant get back into my body ....

Reload the checkpoint if this is a bug. And if you are too frustrated, take a break, nothing good comes out of playing the game in a bad mood.

I did realod the checkpoint. I get a cutscene, the platform comes down. Nothigs happening.
I can go into the iron maiden. Nothings happening ...

Are you talking about the section where you control a revenant demon? You just have to fly up to the platform, take the weapon and go back inside. Watch a playthrough if you are unsure what to do.

Are you talking about the section where you control a revenant demon? You just have to fly up to the platform, take the weapon and go back inside. Watch a playthrough if you are unsure what to do.

I guess i just did that. I could see no weapon on the platform. I thought i would get it myself after the revenant cleard the way. I made it but thx.

Well i will take a break. Idk if i come back. Its a bit too annying for my taste i'm afraid :D

I understand if you don't want to continue. But watch that tutorial I linked if you have a few minutes. It really helps.

Well i understand how it works i guess and how i could get better but it feels too much for me.

So many weapons, so many enemies with so many different moves and weaknesses.

You constanly need to use the flame for armor, and the special kills for health and ammo.

I dont find enough fuel to get the chainsaw working for more ammo or i just miss too often and waste it.

What i love about halo was how easy it was in therms of weapons. You have two weapons you can carry and thats it. And it was way slower. I cant handle that fast pace, not with so much stuff i need to do constantly. Its to much for me. :D
