Thank You Steam Support
I have been very vocal these last 24 hours.

I cannot believe Bethesda has had the nerve to pull this kind of nonsense, with the DOOM fanbase no less!

Thank you for understanding and the refunds you are doing, I hope Bethesda has to foot the bill.

For the cerebrally challenged amongst us let me explain what annoyed me to the point of refund.

<- Taken from a later post no one is reading ->

For the record, I am actually of the opinion that DRM is OK, some are less invasive, some are more invasive.

The reason I have kicked off so vocally about this one in particular is that I am very careful with this PC, I check what comes with a game.

Bethesda pulled a pure bait and switch with this, which I see happens a lot in games I don't play - COD gets MTX added later on etc.

They broke UK law, they broke my trust. It doesn't have anything to do with Denuvo in particular, it's the way they sneakily tried to get us all to purchase it and then added this crap after the fact, very underhanded.

Its not being a corporate shill if you understand that there are potentially hundreds of other programs on your computer that also have the same level of access, but everyone is just picking on this one. Any one of the dozens, to hundreds, of things on your computer (including other anticheat programs) could be hacked and exploited.

welcome to literally ALL of your I/O. Meanwhile everyone here is using mice and keyboards manufactured deep in the heart of china, all that have kernel level drivers. Yet nobody bats an eye.

BUT OH MAN. THAT DENUVO!

From Wikipedia:

"Whataboutism, also known as whataboutery, is a variant of the tu quoque logical fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument."

Since you're committing a textbook logical fallacy, everyone can safely ignore you.

I understand that, but I really feel this outrage is a non issue. If someone gets hacked, and denuvo can without a doubt be proven to be the culprit, then I can see the outrage. until then, it will just be theory and speculation.

and since you all are exercising extreme cognitive dissonance to justify it

your argument also can be safely disregarded

♥♥♥♥ I honestly would be more worried that my mouse was carrying malware, than the fact that I could get it from a popular aaa game made by an american company

Just stop playing the game and get on with your life

no didnt you read! all this stuff made in china is REPUTABLE and SAFE. These devices that your computer CANNOT OPERATE WITHOUT will never be targeted and they are perfectly safe!

especially the ones that are made for 10 cents from corporations that are in part owned or operated by the chinese government who has already been known to install malware in their products.

Those could NEVER be targeted or exploited!

didnt you read. its DENUVO!
