Is the expansion worth the extra cash, or else I will get only base game

Yep ... and they're generally harder than the main campaign.

I am asking the same question too because when i click special offers the standard edition is on the top list of the sale as of now not the deluxe

.. looks like the Deluxe edition is $17.49 I only do single player & it's definitely worth it since it includes all the DLC.

Deluxe is absolutely worth the value especially when it's currently on sale.

Not at all.
The quality stopped with the campaign. The DLC are junk.

You're welcome.
I've played DOOM since the Shareware discs -- and if the DLC were not worth it for me after their preview, they would likely disappoint you.

The ego on this one trying to put himself on a pedestal. Considering you're known for lieing & spreading misinformation in the community i'd suggest to hush.

I'd listen also to people who actually play the game & have good knowledge about both dlc's

DLC 1 has great challenge, great levels & amazing music. It will really push you to use what you've learned & more from the base game.

DLC 2 is a bit easier but has the same great music & levels from the first, the only thing i'd say might be a bit underwhelming are the final bosses from both dlc's.

DLC 1 is brilliant, all 3 levels are incredible.
DLC 2 is very good, the hammer is a very fun gimmick but the final boss fight is pretty annoying.
If you enjoyed the base game both DLCs are 100% worth it.

Gotta say I enjoyed the campaign very much, and my opinion evolved as I tested the strengths and weaknesses of that system through 2 playthroughs and 130+ hours.

The DLC are objectively critical & financial failures in comparison for very real reasons -- none of which can be excused by "pandemic". Poor decision making and design failures are clearly to blame.

You have not played the game for 130+ hours, it keeps changing & if you think that it takes 20 hours to get into how the game works then it's clear that you are lieing about this aswell.

Also yes the pandemic is a valid reason as they had to develop & manage everything from home so naturally that would have a effect.

My achievements and playtime/history are easily accessible on this platform.
For anyone who didn't stay in school long enough to know what a "learning curve" is, it's probably hard to do.

Thanks for your concern, but you are not seeking to engage in any kind of good faith discourse, so stay off my sweaty, son. You bother me.

Hard to argue in good faith with someone, especially when that someone is a pandemic denying Trump supporter. But hey, that's just me!

Trump supporters? Who?

Except you have hidden them in your profile options so no they are not visible & kinda suspect to be honest.

If you like the main campaign and looking for more challenge, then you may like the DLCs. You have all the full-upgraded weapons (minus the crucible) and a fully-upgraded praetor suit. You just focus on the combat.
TAG1 is the hardest, while TAG2 is much more easier.
