Would have prefered a archvile "boss" mid level over the totem platform in the later part of the map myself.
I think having at least 2 in the level would have worked well. Just overall salty so many new demons didn't have a cool intro.
Invasion mode btfo'd.
Except they did exactly this.
Invasion was never promised. And that's good, because it would've been horrible in this game.
Instead they did things that actually worked.
I think they added a tutorial message later, so that's solved for newer players.
But I don't really mind that they didn't introduce him in Mars Core. I also don't mind that the cut scene isn't consistent with the fact that we are already in possession of the plasma rifle. It's a little strange, but whatever.
The Mars Core ML gives us two archviles in that arena, so there is that.
Which they did, they never promised the archvile would be at that point in mars core.
Thank you for showing everyone how immature you are :)
Yeah they just put it in the trailers and promised "its coming" they never actually promised its in the current game.
That is 101% factual.
Post the trailer please.

Looking back I have realised how polished the final game looks.
Oh man, here we go again with the "they showed it." Cool, it was in a build at QuakeCon that they cut away from and talked about. Broken promise, sure, let's just call it that.
Quick question though - how do you think BM turned out? Think it's a good mode? Think it's fun?
Because what they showed is basically BM injected into an SP game. So please, after you're done telling me how bad it is that they broke this promise, follow up by telling me how great the asymmetrical abomination that is BM turned out, and has changed your life for the better.
I'd rather id break "promises" and focus literally anything else than put something that's pure janky nonsense - and would subsequently be completely ignored - into the final product. I would never have used this.
The fact its not in tells me they couldn't get it to work or be compelling. The fact you don't get that and are whining about "broken promises" means you didn't clear the Chasm of understanding why.
