That's what you get with social media, people have to be reactionary and blow things out of proportion.
It's been out of the game for a long time now

Yes. They removed the extremely safe anti-cheat thats highly regarded by security professionals as one of the most secure AC out there.

And then they left the awful DRM that slows your game down instead and will one day prevent you from playing.

Why? Because gamers are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots and believe whatever their favorite youtuber says regardless of actual qualifications to make such claims.

If it ain't FOSS it's not safe.

quite the opposite, open source software means anybody can put in malicious code

what do you think the "open" stands for in "open source"

When does that actually happen though and especially not get caught? The overwhelming majority of the internet runs on FOSS software exactly because that does not happen and issues get fixed muck quicker since anyone can do it. Proprietary software not even by hackers but by their own developers are made to screw the user with no option to fix it.
If they need to hide It I have no way to prove it's not evil and with the reputation of the the majority of companies that make proprietary software these days it's safe to assume somethings going on because they make crazy money off people like you who continue to defend their anti-consumer actions.

do you even realize what you just said? it "doesn't happen" except for when it does happen but it gets "fixed?"

also, if only open source is "safe", then i assume you only you use open source software? oh wait, you're on windows, that's not open source, you're on steam, that's not open source

why are you using such "unsafe" software?

Funny when almost nothing you're using is FOSS

I mean if you're on the internet you're using FOSS. Chromium is FOSS. Most of the internet runs on Juniper which uses Junos. A version of linux. which is FOSS...
