I can't tell if the expansion campaigns are a subscription service or if you buy it and get the 2 extra campaigns. It's really badly named and explained. Can someone explain to me if you buy it or subscribe to it?

Basically, the one year pass includes the part 1 and 2 of The Ancient Gods.

For it to be a subscription service it would need to say just that, otherwise they would be actively trying to catch people out which would go against Steam's T&C. It would need to say "per month" or "per year"
Also just to point this out, it actually says Year One Pass - which means all content released in their first year of the game's initial release. Year Two Pass would involve content from their 2nd year, so expansion 3 & 4 - if they were to release anything of the sort. I don't believe reskin material get's covered in that though but I could be wrong.

Thanks, the whole wording on "One Year Pass" is extremely confusing for someone who isn't into most AAA games these days and they really should do away with that.

They really should, just call it "The Ancient Gods Expansion Pack".

I actually agree with you. I had to look into when each major DLC was released before telling you lol and that would be a better name for this "pass" I mean, it does sound like something online - subscription based. I play a lot of games like that so that would make me think the same.
