Do i lose my progress if I go from Xbox App to Steam?
Can I play Doom Eternal on the Xbox Game Pass app and afterwards buy the Steam version and switch to that without losing progress?

only things like twitch skins and stuff you claimed through old dooms carry over

doom level, saves games, and skins you unlocked, do not.

I have the same problem. Is there a reliable way to transfer game pass pc saves to steam? I'm having trouble finding the save files for both and knowing that that is actually what they are.

no as every saved file has a unique identifier and can't be transferred over.
