What's wrong with Horde Mode?
I'm personally loving it so far but I'm curious as to why so many on Steam forums don't like it when I've heard the exact opposite from everyone I've talked to outside of here. List your complaints below I guess.

I think the most common complaints revolve around not being equipped for certain enemies. such as the spirit or that it isn't really a horde mode like proteh's mods. It's more like an arcade game i guess. I enjoyed it and it was fun to battle enemies with different tools but it isn't as fun as the campaigns or master levels. I think that's ok though since it was free and they didn't need to do it at all. I was expecting, difficulty wise, a ramp up to something along the lines of the original holt slayer gate as the arenas progressed but it was easier than that which is probably a good thing as that gate definitely caused some rage.

The last arena is far from easy on NM. I'm not the best player but it's definitely at least on par with that slayer gate.

More missions selection would have been nice.

I personally really like the mode. If i had to improve it i would say... it would be nice to have like 6 areas instead of 3 - with random 3 being picked in every run. More random enemy encounters/blitz rounds. And in general just a bit more variation. While the mode is definitely fun - i do feel like it was a bit overhyped. Not to mention - this is just a personal thing btw - we were promised some original arenas + some old arenas... but the mode is made purely out of the arenas we already had.

Still. Great mode. Gonna grind it until i hit atleast 300k (Even if top positions will never be achievable due to cheaters with 700k plus scores).

Definitely an extent of what I'm feeling.

I mentioned it elsewhere, but I was totally expecting something like a select set of arenas from the campaign (as what's been done, to be fair, but it's always the same set of missions / arenas, of which, only three levels were included) in combination with the scale of difficulty in weapons, equipment, & demons in an endless fashion.

As far as free goes though, this does exist at the cost of invasion which was previously intended as base game content.

Ehh - can't really complain about them ditching invasions. Due to outcry we have to anti-cheat, so invasions would be rampant with cheaters either way. Plus most studios would just drop the promises and stop supporting a game after a few months, maybe a year. Yet we are still getting content. On a game that is played by like 2-3k people a day. Even almost 2 years after launch.

I think it's a little bit short. But they can always add more levels.

I think what made the holt slayer gate so tough was the pressure exerted on you in a tight space. That last arena has a lot more room to move around in it and it doesn't keep up the pressure for parts of the waves I would've thought it would such as some of the dual possessed enemies. I guess that's why it felt easier, more space to maneuver and you can whittle away all the other demons until it's just the possessed ones at which point it is really easy to put them down. I will say that the Archvile sections did a good job of putting the pressure on if I wasn't fast enough to find them.

I don't really think it is easy per se, just easier than I was expecting given some of the encounters in the master levels,

Great mode but it didn't really blow me away or anything. It felt more like a mini campaign or acade mode than an actual horde mode.

I would love to see the mode get updated each season with new missions. They could make one mission for each level, and cycle between all of the missions at the start of each season. Something like that could benefit the mode a lot, because playing the same three missions would definitely get repetitive after a few months.

It seems like getting the mode finished quickly was top priority, which is why the majority of assets are reused. I don't have an issue with it though, the mode turned out good, and we probably would've had to wait much longer if they added brand new arenas.

I hope the devs address cheaters though. It's a shame that the leaderboard is essentially pointless right now because of them.

I really like it. It's fun.
It'd be nice to have more arenas, the platforming sections are annoying, so is having to switch out the runes and weapon mods everytime I start a new game, it doesn't save the rune/mod configs and the popups, though skipable, are a bit annoying too.

Overall, I'd say it's good. Though, I'd really like to see that runes/mods issue fixed in a future patch.

I have a feeling this is just the start.
Im thinking there gonna add more sets.

Tho in the back of my mind i still want a proper old fashion wave base survival type game mode. put the slayer in an arena with a bunch of demons and you fight till you drop!

Something you can just boot up and start killing demons.

anyone having an game crash issues after the update i cant get through horde mode without the game freezing its never froze prior to the update its quite annoying

Yea im getting crashing here and there not super often tho..
