Weird rainbow/glitchy textures and sprites
So I just fired up the game today, and a lot of textures seem to be glitchy, and rainbow colored, even in cutscenes (the Dark Lord's hair was entirely white/blue).
What could be causing this?
My GPU driver is recent, VRAM tests are successful, stresstests don't fail, and it doesn't get very hot either.
Tried verifying game files, no difference.

What are your PC's actual overall specs?

There hasn't been a driver change for two months now.
The GPU doesn't produce these symptoms in other (also graphics-heavy) games.

Could definitely have something to do with how well the 7950 supports Vulkan...

artifacts are usually caused by these things, overheating can do this too

I haven't changed my settings since the last time I played, weren't a problem then.

You had this glitch, but bad or you had another that was bad?
Ütvekúró 3000 Aug 15, 2021 @ 11:38am
Anyone got a fix for that since that?
Ütvekúró 3000 Oct 31, 2021 @ 1:52pm
The newest patch didn't fix it either, even though it stated that . :/
Although it looks like a driver issue, since I found someone else's post about the same symptoms:
https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/doom-eternal-visual-glitch-after-21-3-1-driver/td-p/469834

The poster above has a R9 280x, and I have an HD7950 - both have been labeled as "legacy" by AMD back in September.
So this issue is unlikely to be fixed :(

Good news everyone!
Downgrading the graphics driver to 21.2.2 solved the issue.
Also, I tried Nimez's modded drivers for legacy GPUs, works like a charm:
