I'm not 100% sure, but canonically aren't there infinite parallel universes in D:E lore with infinite Doomslayers that all end up ending the reign of the Maykrs? So it woulnd't be so absurd to have a Doomgal at all

Otherwise he just said it's an idea he's thought of before, doesn't mean it'll come to fruition. He was just answering a stream question. His job is to come up with art or ideas and let others realize it, of course he eventually thinks about this stuff at least even if nothing comes of jt.

There is a "multiverse" but Hugo clarified not in that way. There is only one Slayer, one version of hell, but multiple versions of earth and other realities.

Badass Doomslayer...who was trained by literally Doomgal, canonically, named Crash.

No reason we couldn't have Doomguy's mentor/trainer as a playable character.

she was Doom's military instructor.

And again, canonically according to her chat lines (she's the only bot who will respond to the player) -

Her quotes suggest that before becoming an Arena Master, Xaero was a trainee under Crash.

Xaero being easily the toughest bot (far tougher than Doom) in the Arena.
