Generally this is true too, since the longer you're in a glory kill the more demons can swarm you when you finish the animation. GK's are risky and the faster you're out the better.
Savagery in general is pretty useful since it's effectively faster healing and enemies don't have as much time to position in your face. Combine it with blood fueled and you can basically always move fast.
So for that the savagery rune is irrelevant.
I personally don´t use it because I like the little breather I get by doing glory kills to just check my equipment cooldowns real quick.
And I try to not take glory kills that would put me in too risky of a situation. Also, you can basicly instantly pull up the chaingun shield when you get out of the animation to save your ass.
Only partly true. Savagery isn't "required" to get armor from meathook GK's, it just makes it more consistent in more situations.
Starting the GK while the mob is on fire doesnt seem to matter.

Then you could chain fodder GK's and fight for 1 second in between.
Would be hilariously broken.
It would still take a lot of skill to pull that off, maybe make it 0.5sec then.. at least enough for a dash
Just pull out chaingun and use personal shield. Basically same thing.
