DLC 2 was rated by the Australian Ratings Board back in February, plus the achievements for this DLC were added to Steam around a week ago. When both of these things happened for DLC 1 its release came not too long after. With this in mind, a March 18th release date does sound realistic, the devs are likely just taking a different approach with how DLC 2 is being marketed.

Yes, but if you look at the timing between when id released the initial teaser for DLC 1 (Aug. 7th) and when that DLC was later rated in Australia (Sept. 24th) you can already tell the devs have decided on not doing a significant marketing push for DLC 2.

DLC 2 was already rated in Australia last month (i.e. the DLC is already finished, content-wise) and we haven't even seen a teaser yet. They've changed plans and likely decided that doing multiple trailers just isn't necessary this time around.

Nothing wrong with that. I don't do hype trains anymore either, they typically just end in disappointment.

I don't know what's weird about it or sad, it's second part of the DLC and first one had enough marketing to get the messege across that yes, DLC is single player, it's harder, and it's two parter.
Teaser and then releasing it some days later is actually awesome, you already have people hyped up and waiting and new promotional art did it's job well to refresh it for people.
There is actually no need for marketing as huge or long, because people already know there will be part 2 since... well, first talk about Ancient Gods. People want it and them dropping it next week would make actually more people happy.

It's not hype train. March-18 release is pretty much the "best guess" kinda information based on what we know at this time. Can it change? Sure. But it's not hyping up anything.

I study marketing and all of the streams, the "leaked" art and the "leaked" release date is a form of marketing. As Bob up there said "There's little point in milking out piecemeal marketing for a second DLC episode that's being aimed at people who already like the game, especially when said people are essentially doing their work for them by buzzing about it." So we are most likely going to get the DLC on the 18th of March, it would be a bad thing from a PR perspective to not release it before the 20th of March because of the Year One Pass.

i think we all are worried that the tag part2 will be a rushed and buggy dlc
it's just a guess
