He set it to private.
Yeah. I enjoy Eternal and Alien: Isolation, but I also loved 2016 and Titanfall 2. I think his content about Eternal are great, but he's very one-sided about his views and doesn't tolerate opposing viewpoints.
It's one thing to have convictions about your view. It's another thing to dismiss other people's opinions publicly and insist that games need to be made and played a certain way. Even if a games journo is playing badly and talking smack about Eternal, his bad experiences are still valid to him. What's not valid is a review made in frustration without deeper understanding of the game mechanics. It doesn't change the fact that he struggled and didn't know how to get past a situation. We've all been there.
I enjoyed Titanfall 2 because of its incredibly well done traversal and level design. I don't need Titanfall 2 to be Eternal to appreciate that it's a good game in its own right. We can all like different things for different reasons and still enjoy Eternal.
I never watched his tutorials so I don't know. I just watched his reviews (not just for DooM Eternal) and some of the points he made are ridiculous, e.g. Titanfall 2 review.
It is so sad that it is on private right now. (Luckily I got the chance to view it yesterday after finishing the DLC).
The DLC is just disappointing. The nerfs in the first DLC is... Just... Well... Why?
I already got tired of the whole concept of expected fun-zone in Eternal. Bosses were already boring in the original game. This DLC just really continues that trend. I want an awesome 1 vs 1 with the final boss. Not some dumb resource collecting mini game with dull enemies. That problem occurred with every boss.
DLC 1 was really cool. DLC 2 just felt like a random custom made level by some modder.
That's interesting. I wonder why.
Probably the hate bandwagon train got out of hands. Or he realized he was a bit unfair to id and went too far.
" Listen up. I do NOT like what I've seen in the aftermath of my latest video. I see rage everywhere, people fighting, high level players harassing and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on casual players just for saying that they enjoyed TAG2. The game has also been review bombed. I want NO part in this. In a year I've gone from someone no one knew, to someone that apparently a bunch of people listen to and then decide how they're going to behave. And if that's gonna be the case, then this is not how I want to lead the discourse regarding the current events.
The tone of my video, while emotionally honest, was not constructive for a game and community that I love this much. I am taking down my review, and I'm going to be restructuring it into a tone that better serves the interests of this community and the future of the series we love so much. I'll need some time to figure out how I want to word the things I want to say, and what effect I want them to have, instead of just projecting my feelings. Give me a few days. I'll be addressing this in the intro to the video as well.
