Do you like the ending? (TAG2 spoilers)

I mean many people have liked him because he is just a human so can feel some sort of familiarity and expected a reward for him like a peaceful moment to rest.
But in fact he is a creation of the dark lord and everything I've done is just a course to get in a coffin.

I think it's pretty dumb that the leader of hell and all its unholy armies is so weak on his own he has to have a giant mech just to face the slayer. Wasted what could have otherwise been a pretty cool and interesting villain.

I hated the ending, but everything else was just fine, though I did think Davoth was basically a glorified marauder who was an even bigger baby (I have a joke that the reason the marauder carries the shield is because he's afraid of getting a boo-boo and he's a coward).

That part just has me scratching my head. Then there's the slayer falling unconscious or dying or whatever happened... why? Why couldn't he just depart to worlds unknown or settle down? Why have him locked away in a box forever? It left a bad taste in my mouth and kinda killed the "Eternal" in Doom Eternal.

he's just being locked away and guarded so no one can use him for their own goals. he'll be back, if they need him.

no one can just "use the doom slayer", he's a person, not a tool. what made no sense and what has people disappointed is the lack of closure.

in regards to any new content the ending seems to be id effectively saying that doom is done and there's not going to be any new content since they killed every demon

from a story point of view
If davoth being killed made the doomslayer faint and get weak then he is effectively a vegetable until davoth comes back which he won't because he's dead. It also potentially means a lack of any content updates that aren't skins for the battlemode since all demons are now bound to hell and can't leave even through whatever crazy rituals they might try since without davoth they can't leave hell. Meaning that doom is also effectively over.

The ending could have just been doom guy going into hell to fight demons forever which personally I think would have been better. But instead they kind of just said "the end" immediately after you beat davoth without any resolution on earth's situation, how the maykrs will do, where the rest of the sentinels went after the fight, etc.

doom is, doom eternal is not. This isn't censorship. It does not cover up or get rid of anything previously ingame. The blood and gore is still there, all that was added was an indicator as to the demon being stunned as well as letting you know when a demon is double staggered like with the marauder. If you're complaining about cartoony noises that's valid but trying to claim it's censorship is gross misunderstanding of what censorship is and claiming that it's family friendly when you're actively ripping off a zombie's head purely because of a more cartoony effect is more dark humour than it is family friendly.

I am not a fan of the more arcadey sounds either but they've been ingame since the start, such as the headshot sound when you hit a zombie with the heavy cannon and it makes a funny "pop" sound.

Cartoony effect and noises ruins the game. Is there a way to deactivate that like in Doom 2016 highlights ?

Arbitrary censorship and censored versions of games are slightly different. Especially when censored versions, most of the time, imply than an uncensored version exist, moreso when taking into account that "political correctness" differ from a country (even a person) from another.

Conker's Bad Fur Day had a Pokemon joke that was censored by Nintendo. But it wasn't because it was politically incorrect, it was just because they didn't like it. However, it's still censorship.

And indeed, Doom is an old school FPS. That doesn't mean every sequels and everything about the sequels is or has to be.

This is not the end, I think. Only "demons" have gone... But the High Priests are alive, like the others angels... I do not think they are a peaceful race. But it is an another story.
Did i like the end? It is too dark for me.

DOOM will never end friend. But it feels like DOOM Eternal is over.. Im pretty sure earth will need the DOOM Slayer one more time in future :)

I literally finished it 1min ago on nightmare and the last boss was so much pain.

But i did love every second of this DLC.

Censored version unfortunately haven't always an uncensored version. Toned down version of AO rated games or NC-17 movies not always get an uncut edition because market rules says that the game or the movie is only what is showed to the public for the first time and that censorship happens in pre release. However these still are censored version and are based on politically correct and family friendly standard to be sold on the most mainstream platforms. PC is the only platform to not have ESRB RP-M range.

I never said Doom Eternal is a censored version, i said that this thing of stars animations is childish and looks like if they want make the game more family friendly, i replied to another guy saying me that if i ask to remove stars animations i'm asking censorship but this isn't censorship stuff even if it would be removed.
