the randomizer mod works wonders i suggest using the balance version first
you won't have to sit by for the stupid "cut scene" parts in game showing u where to go. never taken out of the action
Hell on Earth with a fully upgraded slayer? No fun in that. A proper New Game Plus would be more like a Master Level Campaign. Which will likely never happen.
That's why master levels should have been prioritized more IMO before release. Having all of them get made would be a proper NG+ IMO, but covid forced them to prioritize the season pass content anyway post-launch was not expected. Sadly, one of the level designers leaving id (responsible for lots of encounters we love) doesn't sound promising for the rate they are going to be able to make master levels either, if they ever intended on doing all of them. Hugo hasn't talked about anything beyond the Taras Nabad level (made by the aformentioned designer that just left id if I recall), and TAG2 master levels with the hammer.
Finished master levels or not, as in Doom tradition mods will keep pushing the game and engine to its limits. Eternal has created a combat loop that can be enjoyed for hundreds of hours that could probably go into thousands if you made creative enough levels. It will be harnessed by modding even after id moves on to their next game.
