What's frustrating is: instead of making the game tough in a good way, they make it tough to screw those so called "pro" players, yet they still fail. Look at TAG Part 2 final boss for example: no longer you can keep shooting and swapping weapons to kill the boss in 1 min.
It's called "pissing players off" to make it difficult. Because they can't do anything else with a game that has become arena shooter type all along. It also save some work on story development by doing so, focusing on environment and animation only.
I wish the next Doom is closer to something like Doom 3 with new combat mechanics.
Surely something more like doom 3 would only lead to even more overcrowded rooms, either that or just 1 or 2 enemies per room
In general it seems unlikely we'd ever see a doom like 3 again, but in terms of having a serious gritty tone and aesthetic thatd be suited to something more like Quake
If you want real easy mode, equip the air-slowmo rune. It makes the game easier overall but especially maykr drones and spiders.
3 Barons and 1 Blood Maykr in a smallish room actually sound like an awesome fight. I'm 100% down for that.
I hope they never make anything like Doom 3 again. If I want a slow flashlight simulator I'll play Silent Hill.

TAG 1 is awesome dlc!!!
Done it pre-nerf, will likely do it again soon.
TAG1 is an incredible experience and offers some of the best levels between the base game and DLC.
Have you gone back to the base game to see what it's like. I feel like I could destroy it now.
