For the love of God, please fix the annoying dossier background music

I've been playing Doom Eternal for about 400 hours, and this problem's still pissing me off: Every time I opened up the map (TAB), there was an ambient song playing in the background. Even after closing the map, it was still there playing non-stop. This really affected my experience. Can I have the option to mute it off? I really love the game's music, but this one just came out of no where. Please fix it once and for all...

that's the only thing that works. i don't think this will ever have a proper fix.

On Update 6 stream Billy Khan (Lead Engine Programmer) mentioned that this was fixed long ago but requires new save file to have effect and consequently won't ever be fixed for old save files.

yeah well that's total bs cause it happens on new saves on both pc and consoles.

Yeah I've tried this one. It did work really good in the past. But every time id Software released an update, it stopped working. Now it's not...

Darn, that sucks... That's why I want an option to mute it off, except the in-game music.

The bug is still there. Disappear after finishing the level or reboot the game but annoying as hell !! An option to turn off the background music would be perfect.

but music at 0% doesn't do anything. the ambient sound is still there as it's considered a sound effect, not music. i know as i always play without music.
