my phone has a 120 hz screen and the difference is pretty noticeable. so much in fact that im pretty sure i cant go back to 60 hz unless i'd be held at gun point. however the feel doesnt transfer to my monitor so ggwp
I've got a 2080Ti which, while definitely more powerful, still shouldn't be unplayably low.
I get 100ish with RT and DLSS at 4k. If I remember right, you're running at lower res, so you should get very playable results. May just need to tweak some settings.
If you are using DLSS then no one should be complaining about losing too many frames per second. Sure you will lose a lot of fps with ray tracing but with DLSS turned on you will gain most of that fps back with improved image quality. I know because I have an RTX 2060 Super at 1080P with maxed out settings and it runs nice and smooth all the time with ray tracing turned on. Turn DLSS on buddy and enjoy the increased frame rate. With an nVidia RTX graphics card, there is no reason Not to use DLSS with version 2.0 and later.
Really? 1080p, max settings, with Ray Tracing on you still got a consistent 60 fps with an RTX 2060 Super? Ok, in that case I`ll have to try it again and see if I get better results. I already tried it with DLSS on but maybe it`s one of those things where I have to restart the game a few times and then play it for an hour and it eventually fixes itself.
Something might be up on your end. I had a 2070 Super with raytracing enabled @ Ultra Nightmare on all but texture pool (Ultra) running at 4k with quality DLSS and I do not remember it dipping bellow 60fps.
No... actually it isn't - you're either too ignorant or stupid to see the difference. The difference between 30fps and 60fps is substantial. The difference between 60fps and 120fps is definitely noticeable...
As for 120fps and 240fps? Never seen a monitor or a game run at those framers, so wouldn't know - but if you can't see a difference at 120fps - you need your bloody eyes checked.
If it was placebo then no one would be able to detect the difference and tell you which refresh rate is currently active in a blind test. Yet every blind test has shown people can, very easily.
In regard to DLSS, i think it legitimately makes the game look worse, and potentially adds edge artifacts. I could be imagining this, but DLSS off looks less washed out along the edges.
